So since our adventures in CIO, N has become a pretty predictable girl (I do understand that puttig this to the page is signaling the baby-gods who are now going to look into ensuring that she never does the same thing twice again, but I have an offering of breastmilk waiting for them. Hopefully that will appease them for a while... unless the cats drink it first. Damn cats!).
She wakes up happy and then between 60 and 120 minutes later, she goes down for her first morning nap (please note that all naps require 10 minutes of sleeping in my arms, but then she easily transfers to the crib for the remaining time). It lasts 30-45 minutes.
After another 90-120 minutes, she has another of the same length. 90-120 minutes later, she is ready for her afternoon siesta. If I hold her for an hour, I can put her down and she stays for 1-2 more.
After waking, she has 90-120 minutes of fun before going down for her early evening nap, which lasts 30-45 minutes.
Following that nap, we head into bedtime routine mode and 60-120 minutes later, C gives her a bottle and then puts her in the crib. This sleep lasts between 4-6 hours.
She wakes for another bottle feeding and then goes back down for 2-4 hours (if you add it to the first sleep, it usually totals about 8 hours).
Then, she wakes at 5ish for a diaper change and another feed. We can usually get another 60-120 minutes out of her, but she's usually up just after C's alarm.
"They" say that her nighttime sleeps should be totalling 12 hours and it is my hope that her bedtime will continue to move earlier with her wake-up time extending or at least staying the same. That being said, I can't complain. Life is pretty darn good right now and I am going to enjoy it until some developmental breakthrough (like sitting, rolling over, or teething) undoes all our hard work and we have to start over.
Over May-long, I am hoping to get her going down on her own for her naps. Dare I dream?
